It's easy to learn how to play your Native American Flute. The construction of the flute makes blowing into it and producing sound simple. Anyone can play a melody the first time they pick up a flute. The way the Native American Flute is tuned makes this possible. The natural fingering position makes this a pentatonic flute. Beginner Scale - Minor Pentatonic     If you play only the notes that are made by fully opening or fully closing a hole on your native american flute, you can easily create a melody. In the sound sample below I will play the scale using only the notes that are made by fully opening or fully closing a hole. After you have played the scale a few times, try changing the order that you play the notes in. This is an easy way to play a little melody. That's the beauty of this instrument.
