CUSTOMER COMMENTS

"I'm crazy about the flute. I have another F# by a well-known maker, which is very nice, but it has a much more windy or breathy sound than yours. Yours has a fantastically pure sound, just like butter. I could play the low note all day just to listen to it. Many thanks!

Your friend,"

"I have received the flute and I'm really enjoying it.
I'm playing in a native Tahitian group with a nasal flute and know we can make improvisation with Tahitian flute and Indian native flute together.
In the next few weeks I will order another flute, perhaps a double.

Thanks a lot."

 "Jerry,
Many thanks once again with providing me with such a beautiful flute in sound and esthetics. The quality is outstanding. Recently I've had the opportunity to play various flutes with great disappointments as yours surpasses all. You are truly an artist who creates outstanding flutes with recording quality sounds. God Bless you and your hands, while I look forward to purchasing from you again, Thanks,"

Which Key Of Flute Touches You?
The natural rich warm sound that comes only from an instrument made from wood, touches the soul of all those who hear it. It is our experience that each individual person has a specific key that touches them uniquely. Discovering which key calms you, is easy on our website. We have lots of flutes for you to hear.

Flute Sound Files ~ Not Electronically Altered
Our flute sound files DO NOT have any effects added to them. Our flutes sound exactly like this naturally (Clear, Crisp, Loud, Non-breathy, & No air hiss). Your flute will sound this way for you when you play it at home. Your flute will produce a rich, clean quality sound and have tremendous volume, without the use of a microphone.

  Concert Quality ~ A440 Tuned
Your flute will be tuned using an electronic tuner to ensure that it has concert quality pitch. This will enable you to play along with other instruments.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT FLUTE FOR YOU.
Call us if you have questions. ~ Phone: 1-417-535-6032

The 5 most important criteria are:

1. Playing Ease
2. Sound Quality
3. Volume
4. Pitch
5. Guarantee

 1. Playing Ease
Your flute should be very responsive and not require "special" handling to perform well. Playing the 1/2 holes should be easy for you. A well crafted flute will perform with ease.

Size does matter. Your first flute should conform to you, not you to it. Simply put, if it's uncomfortable for you to play, you won't play. If this is your first flute, choose the right size flute for your hands, you should be able to cover and uncover the finger holes easily without cramping or stretching. After you have been playing awhile, you can learn to stretch and get a bigger flute.

Compare Flute Sizes

Questions to Ask Yourself

Is this your 1st flute?

If the answer is yes, then you may want to order a medium size flute to ensure that the flute naturally fits your arm length and finger stretch. If the sound of the larger size flutes appeal to you more than the medium size flutes, give us call and we can help you decide whether you can comfortably play a larger size flute. Phone: 1-417-535-6032

What size hands do you have?
ie... a small woman or a 6 foot tall man?
People with small hands or hands that have acute arthritis will be more comfortable with the stretch of a medium size flute.

Do you play other instruments?
If you play a piano, guitar, silver flute etc... , then you are accustomed to stretching your fingers and a large size or bass size flute will work for you.

Do you work in a profession that encourages limberness and dexterity in your fingers? ie... Are you used to stretching your fingers?
If you are used to stretching your fingers, then a large size or bass size flute will work for you.

Talk with us, we can help you decide which flute size will be right for you. Phone: 1-417-535-6032

2. Sound Quality
Your flute should have a clear, non-breathy, non-hissy voice. The notes should sound solid and clean. When buying a flute online, call the seller and ask to hear the flute played live, without a microphone or effects added . Any flute will sound "surreal" with effects, like reverb or chorus added to it.

Call us and we will play our flutes for you over the phone so that you can hear their natural sound. Phone: 1-417-535-6032

3. Volume
Without any electronic aid, you should be able to play your flute at a loud volume or a soft volume. A well crafted flute will do this. You will be able to play the flute we make for you at a loud or soft volume without the aid of a microphone.

4. Pitch
Standard A440 pitch is important if you want to play along with any other instrument. Being musicians, we feel it desirable to play our flutes along with other instruments. You can too. We make use of an electronic tuner while making our flutes. We will tune your flute to standard A440.

5. Guarantee
Your flute maker should offer you an unconditional guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with the quality craftsmanship and/or the quality voice of your flute, they should offer to replace your flute or refund your purchase price. We provide an unconditional guarantee.

WOOD - Natural Colors and Grain Patterns
We have taken great care with our website images so that they are a good representation of the "true" color and grain patterns of the wood choices we offer. Wood naturally varies from piece to piece. The grain pattern and the shade of the color are things that vary slightly from piece to piece. The colors of the woods you see in our website images are what the wood looks like, naturally. We do not stain our flutes.
