"...this little baby is fun to play. You can half hole all three holes and/or cover half of the far end and bring the tone down considerably. Played this on the phone for Billy Whitefox Wednesday night and ordered one for him as a gift yesterday. I'll be getting together with him in a couple of weeks in Orlando. About Your Wood Choice

FYI - Wood - Natural Colors and Grain Patterns
We have taken great care with our website images so that they are a good representation of the "true" color and grain patterns of the wood choices we offer. Wood naturally varies from piece to piece. The grain pattern and the shade of the color are things that vary slightly from piece to piece. We do not stain our flutes. Q: What woods are the most aromatic?
A: Eastern Aromatic Cedar, Western Cedar, Sassafras, Walnut, Cherry, and Padauk. Padauk smells like Vanilla.

Q: What do you use to seal the wood?
A: We use Shellac, a non-toxic product often added to food products to make them shiny, such as licorice candy.

Q: Can you still smell the wood after it's sealed?
A: Yes, the inside of your flute will not be sealed. So you can still smell the aroma of the flute.
